Caterpillars & Pandas

Our program is designed to help your child explore their world. Our Bible curriculum is implemented daily through stories, activities, verses and songs. Also used daily is our academic curriculum, Frog Street. Frog Street offers an entire family of early childhood programs that presents program continuity from birth to pre-K. This is a research-based curriculum that is designed for individualized learning. Each child's individualized learning plan is incorporated into a group lesson plan designed to meet each child's developmental needs. Our intentional activities are play-based and focused around the four developmental domains: Physical, Cognitive, Language and Social Emotional Development.

We offer 3 rooms of 2-year old. Class size is limited to 10 children with 2 full-time teachers. Weather permitting, children go outside twice a day and have a 2-hour nap/quiet time.

Our Caterpillars and Pandas program includes:

• Weekly Chapel
• Bible stories and song
• Thematic daily activities that are intentional and child centered
• Three Developmental Assessments (Fall, Winter and Spring)
• Differentiated/child centered instruction.
• Take home thematic family letters.
• Problem solving
• Family style lunch
• Colors, shapes, numbers and letter recognition
• One to one correspondence, sequencing and predicting.
• Language-rich environment: Weekly introduction to vocabulary words using a variety of books, songs, photo cards, finger plays, daily dialog and group time.
• Social-emotional development: Build confidence, learn impulse control and develop social skills to build trusting relationships.
• Conscious discipline: A classroom management system incorporating social-emotional components for children to reduce stress, engage appropriately with friends, practice social skills to feel safe, secure and loved.
